Inspired by the early life of legendary musician Freddie Mercury in Stone Town, this stylish suite blends creativity, character, and comfort for a truly memorable stay.
One of the world’s most flamboyant rock stars, Freddie Mercury was born just a short distance away from Jafferji House. Born into a middle-class family of Persian descent, Freddie spent the early years of his life in Stone Town before moving to Panchgani, India, for his education, and later to London, where he rose to global fame as the lead singer of Queen.
This grand suite pays tribute to his extraordinary journey — from Zanzibar to the world stage. The room’s purple accents reflect his bold, charismatic spirit, while carefully curated details highlight key moments from his life and career. The suite’s entrance features a traditional Zanzibari antique door adorned with brass fittings, evoking the island’s rich heritage.
Inside, a spacious double room offers elegant comfort for two, blending Zanzibar’s timeless charm with a touch of rock-star flair — a fitting homage to one of history’s most unforgettable performers.
We spent 5 wonderful days and loved the hospitality and atmosphere, wonderful service and people, we will happily be back.
